February 5 – The so-called “National Primary”: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Idaho, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Utah and several other states will combine to either produce an instant nominee, or force open conventions in both major parties. Pennsylvania and New York are in the process of moving up the date of their primaries.
